Prerequisite: Basic math skills. A Medical Terminology course (may be taken concurrently with Pharmacy Tech level I).

Pharmacology Essentials


Grasp the names and uses for major medicines. Full range of Pharmacology
concepts based on what the technician needs to know for Pharmacy Class
vocabulary, Overview the kinds of drugs used for various diseases relating
to different body systems. Class covers immune, nervious, muscular and
sensor systems. Drugs used for the eyes, ears and throat. Drug therapy
for the cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, endocrine and genitourinary
systems.

Prerequisite: Pharmacology course must be completed prior to Pharmacy
Technician class ending, if taken concurrently.
